We’re in Berlin. I need to get dressed, but I wanted to answer this first.

“you mentioned that most days you use special makeup to coverup your tattoos.  what kind of makeup do you use and where do you get it?”

I use Studio Finish Concealer by MAC, UltraFine Setting Powder by Mehron, and She Laq sealer by Benefit.

It’s more that the application is special than the makeup. I dab on the concealer, layering it until the tattoo is covered. Then, I dab on the setting powder, wait a few minutes for it to set, and brush off the excess. Finally, I cover it in the sealer. When I’m not working, it lasts the whole day. When I am working (I’m a fitness instructor), I usually have to reapply it mid-day.

I get the concealer at the local MAC boutique, the sealer at Belk department store, and the setting powder at a local theatrical supply store. It can be expensive, but it looks natural enough that most people can’t tell.

its hard to read here, but it’s a quote by Huxley wrapping around my upper arm that says “Genius only thrives in the dark.” A more eloquant version of “no junk, no soul.”

I like the quote… especially if it’s Aldous Huxley she’s quoting.
